Dog Wash & Dry Marathon Fundraiser to benefit

 KENSINGTON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

SATURDAY/SUNDAY, MARCH 14-15 AT

BLUE DOG BOARDING AND DAYCARE KENSINGTON

Kensington Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD) proudly announces its first partnership with a Kensington business, to raise money to purchase a new ambulance!  The Blue Dog Boarding and Daycare Kensington will hold a Dog Wash & Dry Marathon at its 4101 Howard Avenue location and donate the proceeds to KVFD.

According to KVFD President Steven R. Semler, “KVFD is now in its 90th year of continuous 24 x 7 service to the community.  Blue Dog came to us and asked how it could help us, and this fundraiser was born to help us serve the community better!”

KVFD annually runs approximately four thousand ambulance/paramedic calls from Station 5, on Connecticut Avenue and Plyers Mill Road.  It’s time to replace our ambulance, but a new one with full life support equipment, costs approximately a quarter million dollars.

KVFD needs to supplement its community fundraising drive to cover this expensive purchase.  The Doggie Wash and Dry Marathon will help make this happen, thanks to the extraordinary civic support of Blue Dog Boarding & Daycare Kensington Located at 4101 Howard Avenue.  Call (301) 217-0010 Today to make an appointment on March 14 or 15th between 9AM-5PM for a doggie wash and dry at regular rates at 4101 Howard Avenue Kensington, MD by Blue Dog’s staff and it will donate the proceeds from this event to KVFD for its new ambulance fund.

This is a win-win for your pooch washed and happy while helping KVFD buy an ambulance.  If this partnership works, other ambulance fundraising partnerships will be explored.
