Community Event sponsorship and fund raisers have been the cornerstone of the Kensington Business District Association (KBDA) since its inception in 1992. 

The KBDA’s initial promotional event was the sponsorship of the Muscular Dystrophy fund-raiser including a large parade, outdoor craft fair, carnival, professional ice carving demonstration, and raffle prizes. 

For more than a decade, the KBDA has sponsored fund raisers for the Salvation Army, flood relief efforts, Founders Day Celebrations, and National Night Out Celebrations. 

The KBDA sponsors the trolley ride throughout the shopping district of Kensington in support of the annual Town of Kensington Tree Lighting Ceremony.
